Rajat has been prolific in the Engineering field, involved in projects ranging from structural integrity in ship building to non-linear stochastic material modelling in Finite Elements. Key areas of research have included Monetary policy, composite materials, algorithmic trading systems and Statistical stability metrics. Educated at King’s College London and the London School of Economics, his recent positions include being one of top 6 Chief Examiners of the Engineering Council UK. He served as Chairman of the Organising Committee at the Conference on Business and Investment in the Balkan and CIS Economies held in Athens.
Currently, he is the Executive Director of RG Commodities, a specialist research company involved in the systematic trading of commodity futures, particularly WTI-Brent (ICE) and corn-wheat (CBOT) Spreads. This has led, through systematic statistical and econometric analyses, to the development of in-house trading and data-processing algorithms, as well as proprietary metrics for the stable and consistent performance of trading systems. Rajat has several articles in Academic Journals in Composite Materials and a few in-press for Finance Journals; he has spoken at many International Conferences and has acted as academic referee for multiple articles in Scientific Journals.
